About Me I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Throughout my schooling experience I have attended public, private and Christian schools as well as been home schooled for two years. This has provided me with a taste of the many different styles of schools. In my spare time I enjoy art, reading, running and lacrosse, piano, traveling and mission trips and spending time with my friends and family.
This past year, I took a Gap year in between high school and college and lived in the Dominican Republic. There, I took Spanish and Bible classes as well as participated in missions in the local community. I spent most of my time in a small village called San Jose where I taught preschool, ESL classes for women and led a Bible Study for teen girls. I also taught an art class at an orphanage and led VBS's in many villages in the area. It was the most amazing experience in my life and I'm excited to see how it will impact me as a future teacher. I am a strong believer that the success of students depends greatly on the teacher and I hope to one day be an educator who inspires students to reach their full potential and impact them positively! |
